Max McGee Didn’t Like Getting Drafted By Packers
Receiver Max McGee played his college ball at Tulane before getting drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 1954 draft. Despite achieving his goal of becoming a professional football player, McGee wasn’t too happy when he found out he was headed to Green Bay.
Prior to the draft, McGee was told he’d end up in Chicago. Of course, things worked out for the best. In the video, McGee talks about his draft experience and how he ended up in “the boonies.”
