Green Bay Packers In Super Bowl I

The Green Bay Packers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10 in Super Bowl I, the first NFL-AFL title matchup.

The game was highlighted by Packers quarterback Bart Starr’s MVP performance and receiver Max McGee’s two touchdowns. In all, McGee caught seven passes for 138 yards.

The Packers went an astounding 11-of-15 on third down and held the Chiefs to 3-of-13. Green Bay put the game to bed early in the third quarter, going up 21-10 on Elijah Pitts’ first of two touchdown runs.
