Clarke Hinkle Discusses the Greatness of Don Hutson

Clarke Hinkle was the NFL’s all-time leading rusher when he retired, but that record was nothing compared to what his Green Bay Packers teammate Don Hutson did.

Hutson set a litany of records, many that stood until the 1980s, despite retiring in 1945. In the video, which was shot in the early 1980s, Hinkle calls Hutson the best receiver to ever play the game. That’s probably not true since Jerry Rice came along, but there are some great anecdotes about how much better than everyone Hutson really was.
