Antonio Freeman: The Catch

June 18, 2012 | Monty McMahon |

Antonio Freeman had a great career with the Green Bay Packers, putting together five seasons of 900 or more receiving yards. That includes a league-leading 1,424 yards in 1998. He also had four seasons where he scored nine or more touchdowns.

Freeman is best remembered for one play though — a catch he made on November 6, 2000 in a rainy overtime contest against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. It’s widely considered one of the most spectacular catches in NFL history and you can relive the moment in all its glory in the video above.
