The Green Bay Packers acquired center Nate Barrager midway through the 1931 season from the Frankford (Pa.) Yellow Jackets, a team that later became the Philadelphia Eagles.
A 6’0”, 210-pounder, Barrager had played collegiately for the University of Southern California. Although he was an All NFL choice in 1932, Barrager retired to coach during the 1933 season. He returned to the Packers for the ‘34 and ‘35 seasons.
