One of the leaders of the Green Bay Packers defense until a serious neck injury short circuited his career late in the 1992 season, Johnny Holland was a second round draft pick in 1987.
The Texas A&M standout linebacker was the Packers Rookie of the Year in 1987, and went on to record over 100 tackles for five consecutive years. Packers linebacker coach Bob Valesente called Holland, “One of the most consistent performers you’ll find on the field on game day.”
Holland retired after returning for the 1993 season.
