Howard ‘Whitey’ Woodin
In 1921, Whitey Woodin played for the Racine, Wis., Legion of the NFL. The Green Bay Packers traded tackle Jab Murray to the Legion for Woodin and converted him to guard in 1922.
A solid two-way performer at guard, the 5’11”, 206-pound Woodin played from 1922-31. Woodin, who played collegiately at Marquette, was a member of the triple championship Packers of 1929, ‘30 and ‘31.
The hard-working, durable Woodin rarely missed a play with the Packers over 10 seasons.
