Minnesota star George Svendsen signed with the Green Bay Packers in 1935. The 6’4”, 240-pound Svendsen played three seasons at center and linebacker, including the 1936 championship. He left to coach at Antigo High School from 1938-39.
Svendsen returned to play on the 1940 and ‘41 Packers. He often played in the Packers 6-2 defense at linebacker next to Clarke Hinkle.
