A consensus All American at the University of Minnesota, tackle Dick Wildung was the number one Green Bay Packers draft choice in 1943. Wildung had to wait for World War II to end before playing in Green Bay.
The 6’0”, 220-pound Wildung was a guard, tackle and defensive tackle during his Packers career. He was recalled to the military in 1952 during the Korean War.
