Dr. E.S. Brusky
While golfing one day in 1962 with his friend, Dr. Mason LeTellier, Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi mentioned he was looking for someone to coordinate the team’s medical care. Lombardi said he was getting too many opinions from too many doctors.
LeTellier recommended another golf partner, Dr. Gene Brusky.
For 28 seasons, from 1962-90, ‘Dr. B’ attended to Packers players. Brusky, a general practitioner, “earned his sports medicine specialist qualification through years of hard work” said veteran Packers trainer Domenic Gentile.
