Versatile rusher, passer and receiver Bob Monnett played six seasons with the Green Bay Packers, from 1933-38.

During his career, the 5’9”, 180-pound Monnett threw the first pro pass to Don Hutson against the Chicago Cardinals on opening day, 1935. It was incomplete.

Monnett, who played at Michigan State University, scored two touchdowns against the Pirates in 1933, scored 16 points against the Eagles in 1934 and ran for the final touchdown in the ‘36 championship win over the Boston Redskins. He scored 91 points as a member of the Packers.
