The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame
The Packers Hall of Fame was established in 1967 to preserve and protect the history of the Green Bay Packers football team. A display of memorabilia was set up in the concourse of the Brown County Veterans Arena and inductions began in 1970. In 1975 the Packers Hall of Fame became a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Packers Hall of Fame moved into a new 17,000 square foot Arena addition on July 12, 1976, with hundreds of pieces of Packers memorabilia on display. In September of 2003, the Packers Hall of Fame was relocated to its current 25,000 square foot home in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Since then and through the end of 2010, 770,339 fans have toured this facility.
A website was launched in 2007 and a major upgrade to their online presence occurred in 2011 — with a members area, story collection functionality, an online auction, and more.
The Packers Hall of Fame is a separate legal entity from the Green Bay Packers football team.
Since 1970, 147 individuals have been inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame.
