Getting Behind Jerry Kramer

My first experience with the Green Bay Packers was walking into my living room to see what everyone was yelling about. Well, it was actually the Ice Bowl game.

From that moment on, I was hooked — a Packers fan for life.

More importantly, I became amazed with the play of Jerry Kramer. Come on Packers nation! ELECT Jerry Kramer to the Hall of Fame.

Unfortunately, fans don’t decide who makes the Hall. Those elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame are chosen by a panel of 44 NFL writers and broadcasters. A smaller portion of that panel (nine members) makes up the senior selection committee, which nominates two players from the pre-1988 era each year. Kramer would need to be nominated by the senior committee and then be voted in by receiving 80 percent approval from the entire committee.
