Packers Announce First Nationally Televised Game in History

March 9, 1954 – Green Bay Packers General Manager Verne Lewellen announces the first nationally televised Packers home game will be played in 1954 against the Baltimore Colts on November 13 at Milwaukee County Stadium. The Packers contest will be a Saturday night affair with kickoff coming at 7:05 p.m. The game, won by the Packers 24-13, is blacked out in the Green Bay and Milwaukee markets.
