Packers Coach Forrest Gregg Looks to Canada
Feb. 19, 1985 – Packers coach Forrest Gregg and his staff are doing due diligence on a number of players that might be of interest to the team. Included in that list is quarterback Dieter Brock of the Canadian Football League. “We’re interested in any player that’s available that might be able to help our football team, not specifically Dieter Brock, but any player,” Gregg says. Brock, an 11-year CFL veteran who won that league’s most valuable player award in both 1980 and 1981, eventually signs with the Los Angeles Rams where he plays just one season.
