Jan. 31, 1913 – Don Hutson is born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Years later, Hutson becomes an All-America at Alabama before signing to play football for the Packers. With Green Bay, Hutson leads the NFL in receiving eight times and receiving touchdowns nine times. In his first start, he catches an 83-yard TD pass from Arnie Herber that beats the Chicago Bears 7-0. By the time his playing days end, Hutson has caught 488 passes for 7,991 yards and 99 touchdowns, totals that will not be broken for decades to come.
