Packers Superstars Lead a Victory in 1969 Pro Bowl
Jan. 19, 1969 – Carroll Dale and Donny Anderson help the Western Division to a 10-7 victory over the Eastern Division in the Pro Bowl Game in Los Angeles. Dale and Anderson figure prominently in the game-winning, 54-yard drive that is capped by the Vikings’ Bill Brown on a 1-yard plunge. Anderson rushes twice for 28 yards and Dale hauls in a 25-yard pass from the Rams’ Roman Gabriel during the advance that lasts all of four plays and 63 seconds. “It sure was great having Dale out there catching my passes again,” Gabriel says recalling their years together with the Rams.
