Lambeau Field Fans Watch the Packers Win First Playoff Game Since ‘Ice Bowl’

Jan. 8, 1983 – Grabbing their first playoff win since the Ice Bowl, the Packers overwhelm the St. Louis Cardinals 41-16 behind Lynn Dickey’s amazing performance in a first-round playoff game at Lambeau Field. Green Bay’s red-hot quarterback completes 17 of 23 passes for 260 yards and four touchdowns to earn a 150.4 passer rating. The mark is a postseason team record. John Jefferson fields six of Dickey’s throws for 148 yards and two scores. The Packers blow open the game with 31 points in the middle two periods, and backup quarterback Rich Campbell mops up in the fourth quarter.
