Favre, White Named All-Pro
Dec. 25, 1995 – The 1995 all-pro squad is announced by the Associated Press, and Packers Brett Favre and Reggie White are among the 25 players on it. For Favre, who receives 86 of a possible 88 votes, it’s the first time the quarterback is named to the prestigious team. For White, who garners 72 votes, it’s old hat as the defensive end makes first team for the seventh time, but first as a Packer. “It’s something I’ll cherish for a long time, regardless if this is the only award or honor I get,” Favre says. White, who declined to have surgery on his left hamstring late in the season, says: “To be able to endure the season and the injuries, it’s been one of my better years.”
