Nov. 8, 1942 – Cecil Isbell becomes the first player in Packers history to throw at least three touchdown passes in three different games in the same season as Green Bay defeats the Cleveland Rams 30-12 at Municipal Stadium. Isbell fires scoring passes of 11 and 15 yards to Don Hutson and one of 10 yards to Chuck Sample. Sample also turns in a career-best 70 yards rushing to pace the Packers. “The linemen came through in the clutch and that’s what counted,” Green Bay coach Curly Lambeau says. The Packers outgain the Rams 337 yards to 207 in improving to 6-1.
