Brett Favre Tops Dan Marino’s TD Mark in Minnesota

Sept. 30, 2007 – Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre breaks Dan Marino’s record for career touchdown passes with a bullet to wide receiver Greg Jennings in the first quarter of Green Bay’s 23-16 win over the Vikings in the Metrodome. Favre’s 16-yard dart with four minutes, 56 seconds remaining in the quarter is the 421st TD toss of his career and the first score of the game. “I’ve said this all along, and I’ll continue to say it, I’ve never considered myself as good a quarterback as Dan Marino,” Favre says. On the afternoon, Favre completes 32 of 45 attempts for 344 yards and two touchdowns.
