Packers, Bears Will Renew Rivalry On Golf Course

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears will meet for a third time in 2012… on the golf course.

The Rivalry Cup 2012, a Ryder Cup-style event, will be held June 18 at Medinah Country Club’s course No.3. That venue will also host the actual Ryder Cup in September.

The matchup will feature current and former players from the Packers-Bears rivalry and the event will raise money for the teams’ charities – Bears Cares and the Green Bay Packers Foundation.

The Packers’ roster for the event includes one Packers Hall of Famer — Lynn Dickey; four current players – Mason Crosby, John Kuhn, Tim Masthay and Ryan Taylor; and two other former players — Randy Wright and Bill Schroeder.

The Bears’ roster consists of Kevin Butler, Richard Dent, Mike Ditka, Robbie Gould, Patrick Mannelly and Adam Podlesh.
